Q of the Day

A question for your community every day, written by Q or by you, with a discussion thread on every post.

On this page

A question for your community every day, written by Q or by you, with a discussion thread on every post.

Set it up

  1. Open Q Hub, then Q of the Day, and press Add a stream. Step 1: choose the channel and name the stream. Step 2: choose where questions come from (random, themed or server-aware) and the styles you like. Step 3: pick the days, the time and the timezone.
  2. Press Show a sample to see a question. A sample never posts and never uses up a question from your queue.
  3. Press Save and activate. Nothing posts before that. You can pause the stream any time.

What to know

  • You can run several streams at once, each with its own channel, time and questions. Two streams may share a channel. The Free plan runs one stream and Qreate Pro runs as many as you like.
  • Questions you add to the queue go first, in the order you set. A question leaves the queue only after it is posted. When the queue is empty, Q writes one, and Qreate never repeats a question inside your no-repeat window, even reworded.
  • Server-aware questions are off until you pick channels. Q reads recent messages from only those channels, only when it writes a question, and keeps nothing. It never reads DMs, tickets, staff or private channels.
  • Adult topics allows swearing and edgy humour, never anything sexual or humiliating. It only works in a channel Discord marks as age-restricted, and Qreate checks that again every time it posts.
  • Every question gets a public discussion thread. If the thread cannot be made, the question stays posted and History shows why. The usual cause is that the bot needs Create Public Threads and Send Messages in Threads in that channel.
  • Post now sends one extra question on the spot without moving your schedule.
The module switch at the top of the page pauses every stream of the server at once.
