On this page

Collect community ideas, vote on them, and move accepted ideas through review.

Set it up

  1. Open Suggestions and choose the suggestion channel.
  2. Set staff roles and review behavior.
  3. Tell members to use the suggestion command or configured entry flow.
  1. Create a public suggestions channel for member ideas.
  2. Create a staff-only review channel if your team wants private triage.
  3. Decide whether votes are advisory only or required before staff review.
  4. Post a short pinned message explaining what belongs in suggestions.

Common mistakes

  • Do not use Suggestions for support requests; use Tickets or Forms.
  • Do not route suggestions into a noisy general channel; voting becomes unreadable.

Example policy

text
Good suggestions:
- new event ideas
- channel improvements
- reward ideas

Not suggestions:
- bug reports -> use Tickets
- moderation appeals -> use Tickets
- partnership requests -> use Forms

What to know

  • Use a dedicated channel so voting and staff decisions stay easy to scan.
  • Pair with Logging if you want broader audit coverage.
