DM Log

Relay DMs sent to the bot into a staff channel with optional acknowledgement.

On this page

Relay DMs sent to the bot into a staff channel with optional acknowledgement.

Set it up

  1. Open DM Log and enable it.
  2. Choose the staff log channel.
  3. Write an optional acknowledgement message.

Routing behavior

When someone DMs Qreate, the bot checks shared guilds where DM Log is enabled and relays the message to the configured staff channel. Attachments are included as links when Discord exposes them. Separately, messages sent to the Qreate bot also reach the Qreate team, who can answer them; the bot tells each person this once and offers a button that stops it and deletes what was kept.

Privacy note

Tell members if bot DMs are monitored by staff. Use a clear acknowledgement message so users know their message was received.

Example DM Log configuration

text
Log channel: #bot-dms
Acknowledgement message: Thanks for reaching out! A staff member has been notified and will reply if needed.

What to know

  • DM Log is server-scoped: Qreate relays DMs for shared guilds where it is enabled.
  • The first time a member writes to Qreate, that message is not forwarded. They get one notice naming the servers that would receive their messages, with a button to forward that first message and a button to stop forwarding. Everything they send after the notice is forwarded. The notice cannot be switched off.
  • A member who opts out stops being relayed to every server at once, so their messages will not appear in your log. They can turn it back on from the same conversation.
  • This is different from platform support tickets on qreate.gg/support.
