On this page

Create timed polls with button voting, optional multi-choice, and rich embeds.

Set it up

  1. Open Polls and enable the module; the dashboard page configures the poll embed style.
  2. Create polls with the /poll command in Discord: question, options, channel, and duration.
  3. Qreate closes and summarizes votes when time is up.

Good poll design

  • Use 2-8 options. Long polls are harder to read and easier to misclick.
  • Use multi-choice only when more than one answer is truly valid.
  • Use a rich embed for announcements, but keep the question itself short.
  • The Polls page in the dashboard shows each poll's results and who voted for which option. Only your staff see it.
  • In Discord, anyone with Manage Server can right-click a poll, choose Apps, then "Poll votes" to see the voters privately.
text
Good: Which event time works best?
Options: Friday 20:00, Saturday 18:00, Sunday 17:00

Bad: A 20-option survey with long paragraph answers

Example poll

json
{
  "question": "Which tournament format should we run?",
  "options": ["1v1", "2v2", "Squads"],
  "multiChoice": false,
  "durationMinutes": 1440
}

What to know

  • Polls go live immediately when created by AI proposal.
  • Use concise options; Discord buttons need short labels.
  • Discord fits ten options on one poll. Give more than ten, or leave one blank with a stray |, and Qreate refuses the poll and tells you which rule it broke, rather than posting it with the extras quietly missing.
  • Add allow-unvote to /poll and members can take a vote back by clicking it again.
  • To fix a typo after posting, open Polls, find the poll under "Polls on this server" and choose Edit poll. You can reword the question and options and add options at the end; an option somebody already voted for cannot be removed.
