Leveling

Reward active members with XP, levels, and role rewards.

On this page

Members earn XP as they chat and climb levels. You control how fast, what announcing looks like, and which roles unlock at which level.

Set it up

  1. Open Leveling in the rail and flip it on.
  2. Configure XP gain range (e.g. 10-20 XP) and message cooldown.
  3. Add channels to blacklist if you want to block XP in off-topic rooms.
  4. Map levels to roles under the Level roles section (e.g. Level 10 → @Active).

Tune the XP

  • XP per message (min/max) and a cooldown so spamming doesn't pay.
  • Max level and stack mode (do level roles stack or replace).
  • Multipliers: boost specific channels or roles.
  • Whitelist / blacklist channels so off-topic rooms don't grant XP.

Level role rewards

In Level roles, map a level to a role (e.g. level 10 → @Regular). Qreate grants it automatically when members reach it.

XP presets

text
Chill community:
XP per message: 8-15
Cooldown: 60s

Active gaming server:
XP per message: 15-25
Cooldown: 45s

Anti-spam strict:
XP per message: 5-12
Cooldown: 90s

Channel multipliers

  • Give normal chat channels a 1.0x multiplier.
  • Give event or help channels 1.2x-1.5x if you want to reward useful activity.
  • Blacklist bot-spam, counting, memes, or command channels if they distort XP.

If a level-up does not show

The level-up message is an embed, so Qreate needs View Channel, Send Messages and Embed Links in the channel where it posts. If a channel overrides the bot's role, Qreate posts nothing there and sends the server owner and connected admins a direct message naming the channel and the permission. Level roles need Manage Roles and the Qreate role above the reward role in the role list. Fix it in Discord, then press Check again on that message.
