Dashboard & servers
How the dashboard maps to your servers, switching between them, and what 'active' means.
On this page
The dashboard shows only the servers you manage on Discord (where you're the owner or have Administrator / Manage Server). Each person sees their own list.
Switching servers
Click the server name in the top-left of the rail to open the picker. Every change you make in a module applies to the currently selected server only. Settings are per-server.
Active vs. not added
- Bot online (green): Qreate is in that server and ready.
- Bot not added (amber): you manage that server on Discord, but the bot isn't in it yet. Click it to invite Qreate.
When a server is missing
- Confirm your Discord account has Administrator or Manage Server on that server.
- Sign out of Qreate and sign in again; Discord server membership is refreshed at login.
- If the bot is already in the server but the dashboard says it is not, use the dashboard resync action or re-open the server picker.
Variables in messages
Every module that writes about a member or your server uses the same names. Each editor lists the extra ones its module adds, such as {level} or {ticket}.
{user}mentions the member and pings them, in the text and in an embed description. In an embed title or footer Discord cannot show a mention, so the member's name appears there instead, and they are still pinged.{user.name}writes the member's name without a ping.{user.avatar}is the member's avatar, for an image or thumbnail.{user.id}is their id.{server}is the server's name and{memberCount}its member count.- Older spellings such as
{user.mention},{username}and{guild}keep working in templates you already have.
Per-server settings
Every module config is stored per Discord server. Changing Welcome in one server never changes Welcome in another. Always check the selected server name before saving.
To set up a module the same way as another of your servers, use the Copy from another server button at the top of the settings form. Roles and channels are matched by exact name on this server. Anything without an exact match is left empty and listed, and nothing is saved until you press Save.
Role panels and ticket panels can be copied the same way, with Copy panels from another server in Reaction Roles and Tickets. A panel comes across only if its channel, roles and any custom emoji exist on this server by the same name; otherwise it is listed with what is missing. Copies arrive as drafts, and nothing is posted to Discord until you publish each one. For ticket panels, forum tags are server-specific and must be set again on the copy.
