Introductions

Let members introduce themselves through a panel and structured modal.

On this page

Let members introduce themselves through a panel and structured modal.

Set it up

  1. Open Introductions and enable it.
  2. Configure the intro channel, fields, and panel copy.
  3. Publish the panel so members can submit introductions.

Field design

  • Ask for 3-5 fields max: name, interests, timezone, favorite game/topic, and one fun prompt.
  • Avoid private data. Introductions are meant for community context, not identity verification.
  • Use staff/private visibility when introductions need approval before public posting.

Panel copy

Tell members exactly what happens after submission: where the intro posts, whether staff review it, and whether they can edit it later.

Example introduction config

text
Introduction channel: #introductions
Fields:
1. Name / Nickname
2. Where are you from?
3. What games do you play?
4. Fun fact about yourself
Approval required: true

What to know

  • The setup panel is the message members click to open the form. The submitted introduction is a separate embed containing the member's answers.
  • Your Branding footer replaces the stock Qreate footer on the standard panel and in front of the member ID on submitted introductions. A footer you set on a custom panel embed keeps priority.
  • Keep intro fields short; long forms reduce completion.
  • Submitted introductions can be reviewed from the dashboard.
